CrowdStrike’s Strategic Counter-Adversary Research (SCAR) team conducts applied research to improve the company’s ability to expose and counter adversary activity. The team develops novel detection technologies and tools that improve analyst workflows, with engineers, researchers, and subject matter experts collaborating to conceive, design, prototype, and implement new tools. The Research Intern will participate in innovation research and prototype development, supporting cybersecurity threat hunting and a machine-learning project. The internship is hybrid and based at CrowdStrike’s Austin, Texas, or Arlington, Virginia, office. Interns work 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday, during standard business hours, with in-person attendance required for team meetings, collaboration sessions, and other events. The posting gives differing in-office expectations: the location section says three days in person, while the role section says two days in the office. Three cohorts are listed: May 26–August 13, June 2–August 20, and June 14–September 3, 2027.
