About The Position

This role involves analyzing business and technical requirements to design effective test scenarios, creating and executing test cases, test plans, and test scripts (manual and/or automated). The contractor will perform functional, regression, integration, system, and UAT testing, logging, tracking, and verifying defects using defect management tools. Collaboration with developers, product owners, and other stakeholders to resolve issues is key. The role also includes active participation in Agile/Scrum ceremonies, validating fixes, conducting retesting, and supporting release signoff activities, while ensuring compliance with quality standards and best practices. Providing test status updates and quality metrics to stakeholders is also a responsibility.

Requirements

  • Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience
  • 2-5 years of experience in software testing
  • Strong understanding of SDLC and STLC
  • Experience with manual testing and test case design techniques
  • Familiarity with defect tracking and test management tools (e.g., JIRA, TestRail, ALM)
  • Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments
  • Good analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent attention to detail and communication skills

Nice To Haves

  • Test automation experience (Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, Appium, etc.)
  • API testing experience (Postman, RESTAssured, etc.)
  • Basic knowledge of SQL/databases
  • CI/CD exposure and integration testing experience
  • Domain experience (e.g., OTT/Streaming, Finance, Ecommerce)
  • Strong ownership and accountability for quality
  • Ability to work independently and in cross-functional teams
  • Willingness to learn new tools, technologies, and domains
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively
