About The Position

We are seeking an experienced Overnight Yard Jockey to join our team in Brewster, NY. This full-time position involves moving trucks and trailers in and out of dock doors, ensuring proper loading and security of trailers, and maintaining a safe and organized yard. The ideal candidate will have a valid CDL, be comfortable working overnight shifts, and possess strong attention to detail regarding safety and regulations.

Requirements

Valid CDL issued by state of residence and DOT qualified
Ability to work overnight shifts, 10+ hour shifts, weekends, and holidays
Comfortable entering/exiting trucks frequently and lifting up to 100 lbs using safe practices
Basic math skills and ability to read, write, and communicate in English
Strong attention to safety, organization, and teamwork
Clean driving record in accordance with DOT and company standards
Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

Move trucks and trailers in and out of dock doors according to assignments
Ensure trailers are properly loaded, sealed, secured, fueled, and temperature-controlled
Arrange trucks and trailers in the yard safely and efficiently
Inspect equipment and report any safety or maintenance concerns
Maintain a clean, organized, and debris-free yard
Follow all safety, DOT, and food safety regulations
