About The Position

The Hilton Denver City Center is seeking an Overnight Supervisor to join their team. This role involves auditing, balancing, and reporting on various hotel operations such as food and beverage outlets, rooms/front desk, and gift shop to ensure accuracy, prevent fraud, and follow company policies. The supervisor will also provide professional and courteous service to guests, responding to inquiries and concerns regarding reservations, hotel information, and guest satisfaction. Requirements

  • High school education or equivalent experience.
  • Ability to operate personal computer, cash register, and calculator.
  • Ability to compile facts and figures.
  • Telephone and guest relations etiquette and skills.
  • Moderate hearing required to communicate with guests.
  • Excellent vision required for viewing of CRT screen.
  • Excellent speech communication skills required to communicate with guests over the telephone.
  • Excellent comprehension and literacy required for reading daily reports, numbers, etc.
  • Experience leading a team.

Responsibilities

  • Audit, balance, and report on all food and beverage outlets (e.g., restaurants, lounges, banquets, room service) cash and credit operations, including checks, over/short figures, deposits, counts, house charges, and postings.
  • Audit, balance, post, and report on the front desk, including room charges, phone calls, zero balance folios, corrections, adjustments, taxes, disputed charges, and deposits.
  • Audit, balance, and prepare/verify Room information reports to provide management with performance insights.
  • Prepare and input statistics and income journal sheets for daily report preparation.
  • Balance and close all bank ticket codes daily.
  • Run the night audit final after ensuring all revenues are in balance nightly.
  • Greet and complete check-in procedures for arriving guests using manual and computerized methods.
  • Facilitate guest departure (check-out) by following established procedures to close guest accounts.
  • Maintain good customer relations by staying informed about in-house and area functions to answer guest questions and concerns.
  • Operate PBX equipment, including accepting incoming calls, assisting outgoing calls, scheduling wake-up calls, and paging guests.
  • Perform the duties of a Front Desk Clerk, including express checkouts.
