About The Position

The Overnight Security Officer is responsible for overseeing the security and safety operations of the hotel during overnight hours. This role ensures compliance with hotel standards and procedures, protects guests, employees, and hotel property, and safeguards the hotel's reputation and assets from potential risks or liabilities. The position involves continuously seeking ways to improve security and safety services and fostering a strong working relationship with all other hotel departments. The Security Officer also acts as a liaison with law enforcement and emergency services when necessary and stays informed of relevant laws and hotel emergency procedures.

Requirements

  • At least 1+ years of security experience, preferably within hotels
  • High School education or equivalent experience
  • Ability to apply an ethical approach to the outcome of situations.
  • Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills to work with peers, superiors and clients
  • Ability to work in a safe, prudent and organized manner
  • Available for Overnight Shift/flexible to work weekends and holidays
  • Reading, writing and oral proficiency in the English language
  • Ability to multi-task in a high volume and demanding environment
  • Strong problem-solving skills, ability to handle difficult situations and guests
  • Must already be legally permitted to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee overnight security and safety operation, ensuring compliance with hotel standards and procedures.
  • Protect guests, employees, and hotel property while safeguarding the hotel’s reputation and assets from potential risks or liabilities.
  • Strive to continuously seek ways to improve security and safety services and the working relationship with all other departments within the hotel.
  • Act as liaison with law enforcement and emergency services when required, staying informed of relevant laws and hotel emergency procedures.
  • Stay informed of current laws and hotel emergency procedures, and attend required meetings to support operational and safety initiatives.
