Requirements
- RN licensure with the MN Board of Nursing.
- Current CPR certification.
- Desire to work with the elderly and those in transition.
- Maintain confidentiality to ensure compliance with all HIPAA regulations.
Responsibilities
- Performing nursing tasks to assure resident needs are met.
- Monitoring resident needs, condition and care.
- Administering medications and treatments as ordered by the physician.
- Ordering and receiving medications from the pharmacy.
- Admitting and discharging residents.
- Overseeing TMA/NAR staff.
- Reporting changes of condition to RN/Supervisor and physician as delegated.
- Transcribing and executing physician orders.
- Completing documentation as required.
- Completing fall reporting.
- Reporting any bruises, skin tears and abuse/neglect.
- Giving report to nursing staff.
- Following and upholding Resident Bill of Rights and facility policies and procedures.
- Maintaining confidentiality and following HIPAA requirements.
- Providing excellent customer service and communication to all residents/families/visitors/MD's/coworkers.
