Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited nursing school with a Nursing Degree
  • Current RN licensure with the Minnesota State Board of Nursing is a must.
  • Ideally, you bring previous experience in a healthcare setting, preferably with adolescents and/or young adults
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to make sound judgment calls in high-pressure scenarios.
  • A positive attitude and a commitment to teamwork, fostering a collaborative environment.
  • Basic computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office and Electronic Health Records (EHR).
  • Ability to react quickly and calmly as part of a team in emergent situations.
  • A proactive mindset that seeks to improve quality and demonstrates accuracy and thoroughness in all tasks.

Responsibilities

  • Administering medications and monitoring vital signs, ensuring accurate documentation in medical records.
  • Evaluating medical complaints and concerns from residents, effectively communicating with our Nurse Practitioners and Physicians.
  • Developing and implementing treatment plans, providing direct care and nursing services as prescribed.
  • Monitoring chronic health conditions, respiratory distress, and seizures, ensuring timely interventions.
  • Maintaining comprehensive medical records and logs, adhering to all mandated reporting and infection control protocols.
  • Collaborating with BHS regarding medication management and refills.
  • Participating in interdisciplinary treatment team meetings, contributing your expertise to enhance patient care.
