About The Position

Fairmont Pittsburgh, a 4 diamond LEED certified luxury hotel, is located at the heart of Pittsburgh’s business, cultural and retail hub. Fairmont Pittsburgh offers superb and distinctive guest services and accommodations in a luxury setting. This role involves cleaning assigned public areas throughout the hotel, emptying trash, cleaning restrooms, mirrors, windows, wiping and dusting surfaces, keeping brass shiny, vacuuming carpets, following departmental policies, reporting maintenance needs, and adhering to safety and sanitation policies. The position requires offering professional, friendly, and engaging service, along with performing other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Previous housekeeping experience an asset
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Strong interpersonal and problem solving abilities
• Highly responsible & reliable
• Ability to work cohesively with fellow colleagues as part of a team with minimum supervision
• Ability to focus attention on guest needs, remaining calm and courteous at all times
• Must have proof of valid U.S. work authorization.

Responsibilities

• Clean assigned public areas throughout hotel
• Empty trash in all public areas and clean public area restrooms
• Clean all mirrors, inside of windows, wipe and dust all surfaces; keeping all brass shiny
• Vacuum carpets where needed
• Follow departmental policies, procedures and service standards
• Report necessary maintenance items
• Follow all safety and sanitation policies
• Consistently offer professional, friendly and engaging service
• Other duties as assigned
