About The Position

You’ll be working directly with a licensed clinical pharmacist to help maintain the institution’s drug distribution system and ensure that everything runs smoothly.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Must have passed the National Pharmacy Technician Certification Examination (PTCB) and maintain certification within 6 months of hire.
• Previous experience entering information into computers, with strong typing skills.
• Excellent verbal communication skills to discuss work issues and tasks with coworkers.
• Must be able to lift up to 20 pounds to move cases.
• If driving is required, you must meet the Fleet Driving Safety and Compliance Policy and maintain compliance as a condition of employment.

Nice To Haves

• Pharmaceutical work experience and knowledge of pharmaceutical terminology and products are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Sterile & Non-Sterile Product Prep: You’ll play a key role in preparing sterile and non-sterile products with precision and care.
• Repackaging Medications: Repackaging medications, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
• Stock Replenishment: Keeping our automated dispensing cabinets stocked and organized to ensure quick access when needed.
• Inventory Control: Manage inventory, including controlled substances, while maintaining accurate records.
• Third-Party Billing: Submitting third-party payor bills accurately and efficiently.
