At University Health, we're looking for an Environmental Services Inventory & Equipment Supervisor to help ensure our Environmental Services team has everything they need to create a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for patients, visitors, and staff.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with staff, patients, and visitors.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 60 pounds on a regular basis.
  • Ability to safely operate electric and battery-powered floor care equipment.
  • Ability to read and understand chemical labels, safety information, and first-aid instructions.
  • Must meet fleet driving requirements if driving is required for the position.
  • Comfortable using Microsoft Office applications.

Nice To Haves

  • College coursework.
  • Experience in healthcare, environmental services, inventory management, or supply chain operations.
  • Three or more years of experience in a service-oriented environment.
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills.
  • Previous supervisory or team leadership experience.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the receiving, storage, tracking, and distribution of Environmental Services supplies and equipment.
  • Keep inventory levels balanced by maintaining and adjusting min/max stock levels—avoiding shortages without filling every storage room to the ceiling.
  • Supervise and support team members while helping create an efficient, customer-focused operation.
  • Partner with EVS leadership to establish supply par levels for hospital departments and satellite facilities.
  • Make sure equipment is ready when it's needed by coordinating preventative maintenance and service repairs.
  • Reduce equipment downtime and quickly address operational issues.
  • Maintain clean, organized, and compliant storage areas that meet safety and infection prevention standards.
  • Look for opportunities to improve processes, increase efficiency, and support the overall success of the department.
