Requirements

  • Minimum of 1 year management experience
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Superior customer service skills
  • Demonstrated leadership skills
  • Ability to understand and carry out instructions
  • Ability to multi-task
  • Strong attention to detail and organization
  • Basic math and accounting skills necessary
  • Excellent computer skills
  • Ability to work independently
  • Ability to work overnight hours, weekends, holidays

Nice To Haves

  • Previous night auditor experience preferred
  • Experience in Opera systems preferred

Responsibilities

  • Audit the daily guest ledgers and handle the duties of both the front office operations, night audit, and hotel safety/security.
  • Serve as the Manager on Duty during overnight hours, providing leadership and support to all front office members and the resort.
  • Uphold Chatham Bars Inn Standards, including Forbes, Leading Quality Assurance, and AAA.
  • Manage and monitor activities of all employees in the front office, ensuring adherence to standards of excellence, employee handbook guidelines, and hotel policies and procedures, providing coaching, training, and correction as needed.
  • Maintain a professional and high-quality service-oriented environment at all times.
  • Act as Manager-on-Duty for the hotel, assisting guests, solving problems, acting on complaints and disturbances, special requests, and any other arising issues.
  • Manage the night shift in the department, ensuring all employees perform assigned tasks and coordinating front office activities with other departments.
  • Conduct informal overnight staff briefings on nightly activities, group and VIP arrivals, special requests, and repeat guests.
  • Run various reports for the accounting department.
  • Complete and input night audit reports with accuracy.
  • Make room reservations and provide information and services to guests.
  • Ensure Chatham Bars Inn standards (Forbes, Leading Quality Assurance, AAA), policies, and procedures are understood and followed.
  • Present a professional appearance.
  • Work closely with the resort’s departments.
  • Be aware of and enforce all fire, life, and safety procedures.
  • Perform any reasonable duties as required by the Front of House Manager and Director of Rooms.
