About The Position

The purpose of this job is to process merchandise and fuel transactions. The Overnight Lead Guest Services Team Member will lead a shift of one-to-two cashiers, ensuring quality service is delivered to every guest. This role involves handling transactions, completing end-of-shift reports, adhering to company guidelines for restricted merchandise, and maintaining an organized work area. The position also requires using suggested selling methods, resolving guest complaints and team member conflicts, determining break schedules, and assisting with other travel center functions. The Lead will model behaviors that support the company's common purpose and ensure compliance with all rules and regulations. Other duties may be assigned.

Requirements

  • Previous experience or working knowledge of retail operations
  • Incredible customer service skills & the ability to help maintain a customer focused culture
  • Must be proficient with a calculator, computer, and other equipment
  • Ability to work as part of a team and interact with different levels from hourly team members, customers, vendors, and corporate representatives
  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule of nights, days, weekends, and holidays
  • Background check is required

Responsibilities

  • Lead a shift of one-to-two cashiers to process all types of cash, credit, and debit transactions
  • Complete end-of-shift reports and close out procedures
  • Follow company and local guidelines with regards to the sale of any restricted merchandise items (i.e., alcohol, tobacco)
  • Maintain an organized and clean work area
  • Use suggested selling methods to promote and sell products
  • Ensure quality service is delivered to every guest
  • Handle guest complaints and issues by following company processes and guidelines; resolve team member conflict; and communicate issues to management
  • Determine break schedules and team member placement during shift
  • Assist with other travel center functions such as maintaining deli, cleaning showers and restrooms, stocking, making coffee, etc.
  • Model behaviors that support the company’s common purpose; ensure guests and team members are supported at the highest level
  • Ensure all activities are in compliance with rules, regulations, policies, and procedures
  • Complete other duties as assigned
