About The Position

The purpose of this job is to process merchandise and fuel transactions. This is an overnight position where the Lead Guest Services Team Member will lead a shift of one-to-two cashiers to process all types of cash, credit, and debit transactions. They will also complete end-of-shift reports and close out procedures, follow company and local guidelines with regards to the sale of any restricted merchandise items (i.e., alcohol, tobacco), and maintain an organized and clean work area. The role involves using suggested selling methods to promote and sell products, ensuring quality service is delivered to every guest, and handling guest complaints and issues by following company processes and guidelines. Additionally, the Lead Guest Services Team Member will resolve team member conflict, communicate issues to management, determine break schedules and team member placement during shift, and assist with other travel center functions such as maintaining deli, cleaning showers and restrooms, stocking, and making coffee. They will model behaviors that support the company’s common purpose and ensure guests and team members are supported at the highest level, ensuring all activities are in compliance with rules, regulations, policies, and procedures. Other duties as assigned will also be part of the role.
