About The Position

The role of Laundry Attendant ensures that all linen is properly washed, dried, cleaned, and restocked, and that all closets are maintained with proper pars. This role operates all laundry equipment and maintains a safe environment. The attendant maintains the cleanliness of the hotel’s linen supply, sorts laundry prior to washing, and pulls damaged and/or stained linen prior to loading the washing machines. They load washers and dryers to recommended weights, follow proper settings and procedures for all equipment, and monitor water usage to maximize consumption. The attendant informs their supervisor of any equipment failures or supply shortages. They press and fold linens and uniforms properly according to garment labels, stack or store them as required, and complete inventory of stock as requested. This role ensures rotation with team members regarding machines, folding, and removing/placing linen. The attendant adheres to hotel policies and procedures, maintains knowledge of and complies with all department policies and Covid protocols, and maintains the cleanliness of the laundry room and equipment. They work the required schedule, which can be varied based on business demand, and use equipment and chemicals in accordance with the hotel’s safety procedures. The role adheres to all health, sanitation, and safety rules and procedures. The Laundry Attendant creates 100% guest satisfaction by providing the Radisson experience through performance that demonstrates genuine hospitality and exceeds guest expectations. They give personal attention, take personal responsibility, and use teamwork when providing guest service. They listen, apologize with empathy, find a solution, and follow through when resolving guest problems. They provide "Yes I Can!" genuine hospitality and teamwork on an ongoing basis and assume the responsibility to notice when the guest is not satisfied and use their best judgment as to when it is appropriate to use the 100% Guest Satisfaction. The role performs other duties required to provide the service brand behavior and genuine hospitality, and other duties as required by Management to provide 100% Guest Satisfaction and genuine hospitality to our Guests.

Requirements

  • Minimum of one-year hospitality experience in laundry or dry cleaning.
  • Follows instructions and communicates effectively.
  • Works well independently or as part of a team.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Commitment to exceptional guest service.
  • Willing to work a flexible schedule including weekends and holidays.
  • Adheres to the policies and procedures of the hotel.
  • Required to stand, sit, and walk for extended periods of times.
  • Lift, carry, or otherwise move and use of force or exertion up to 75 lbs.
  • Use of manual dexterity of common office equipment; such as but not limited to, computers, printers, phones ect.

  • Presents documents verifying identity and legal authorization to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

  • Uses equipment and chemicals in accordance with hotel’s safety procedures.
