Bi-Mart is looking for a dependable and motivated leader to join our Overnight Freight Team. The Overnight Freight Department Manager leads the overnight freight crew, coordinates nightly operations, and ensures merchandise is received, stocked, and displayed accurately and efficiently. This is a working leadership position. In addition to leading the overnight team, the Overnight Freight Department Manager works alongside team members to unload delivery trucks, organize inventory, stock merchandise, maintain an orderly backroom, and prepare the sales floor for the next business day. Success in this role requires strong organization, problem-solving skills, and the ability to motivate a team while maintaining a safe, productive work environment. Person in Charge (PIC) Assignment The Person in Charge (PIC) is a secondary work assignment available to Overnight Freight Department Managers. When scheduled as the PIC, you will serve as the Manager on Duty and provide leadership for overall store operations. Your schedule will flex between your Overnight Freight Department Manager responsibilities and your PIC assignment. When you are not scheduled as the PIC, store management will assume PIC responsibilities, and you will resume your regular department leadership duties. PIC responsibilities may include: Serving as the Manager on Duty and providing leadership and direction to store team members. Receiving and verifying store shipments. Supporting a profitable store by controlling expenses, maintaining in-stock conditions, and ensuring promotional and basic merchandise is presented according to company standards. Maintaining a safe, clean, and well-organized store while helping identify maintenance concerns. Enforcing company policies and ensuring compliance with safety, and operational procedures. Helping reduce inventory shrink through loss prevention and operational best practices. Protecting company assets and helping minimize potential liabilities. Leading by example through professionalism, teamwork, and accountability. Overseeing daily store activities, including freight processing, merchandising, stocking, and other operational assignments. Additional Compensation: Employees receive an additional $2.00 per hour while scheduled and working as the Person in Charge (PIC).
