About The Position

The Overnight EVS Attendant performs housekeeping and cleaning duties in assigned facility areas. The role involves cleaning furnishings, equipment, floors, and carpets; disinfecting throughout the facility; completing heavy and high cleaning; and maintaining cleaning equipment and supplies. The attendant follows department and company procedures, safety rules, and internal controls; reports maintenance issues; supports the training of new team members; and provides professional customer and employee relations. Team members may also perform other duties as assigned to meet organizational needs. Candidates must be at least 18 years old, have a high school or equivalent diploma, and be able to obtain the appropriate license under New York State Lottery regulations. Two years of related experience is preferred. The position requires English fluency, the ability to communicate with guests and colleagues, and the physical ability to perform cleaning tasks, including lifting or maneuvering at least 25 pounds. Schedules may vary according to business needs.

Requirements

Must be at least 18 years old.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Ability to obtain the appropriate license pursuant to New York State Lottery regulations.
Fluency in English.
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret policy and procedure manuals, maintenance instructions, and related documents.
Ability to respond to common inquiries from employees or guests and to write detailed instructions and correspondence.
Ability to present information effectively in one-on-one and group situations.
Ability to perform basic arithmetic and work with probability, inference, spreadsheets, statistical data, and reports.
Ability to lift or maneuver at least 25 pounds and meet the described standing, walking, and other physical demands.

Nice To Haves

Two years of experience in a related field is preferred.
A second language is a plus.

Responsibilities

Assemble necessary materials and supplies from the storeroom.
Clean assigned areas by washing furnishings and equipment, mopping floors, and using special solutions and disinfectants.
Vacuum carpets in offices, guest areas, and back-of-house areas.
Clean with disinfectant throughout the facility.
Follow department and company rules, regulations, procedures, internal controls, and safety regulations.
Complete assigned tasks in a timely manner, including heavy and high cleaning assignments.
Return equipment to the storeroom at the end of the shift.
Clean used equipment and place soiled rags and mops in designated areas.
Attend periodic meetings and training sessions.
Provide outstanding customer and employee relations and maintain a neat, clean appearance.
Report mechanical failures or negative conditions in assigned areas using a maintenance request form.
Assist in training new team members.
Perform other duties as assigned.
