About The Position

The Overnight EVS Attendant (Housekeeping) cleans assigned facility areas, including furnishings, equipment, floors, carpets, guest areas, offices, and back-of-house spaces. The role involves using cleaning solutions and disinfectants, completing heavy and high cleaning assignments, maintaining and returning equipment and supplies, and reporting maintenance issues. The attendant follows company, department, safety, and internal-control procedures; supports team training; attends meetings and training; and provides professional service to guests and employees. Team members may also perform other related duties as needed.

Requirements

Must be at least 18 years old.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Ability to obtain the appropriate license pursuant to New York State Lottery regulations.
Ability to perform each job responsibility satisfactorily, with reasonable accommodations where applicable.
Ability to lift or maneuver at least 25 pounds and meet the role's standing and walking demands.
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret documents such as policy and procedure manuals and maintenance instructions.
Ability to respond to common inquiries from employees or guests.
Fluency in English.
Ability to write detailed instructions and correspondence and present information effectively in one-on-one and group settings.
Ability to perform basic arithmetic and work with probability and inference.
Ability to create, read, and analyze spreadsheets of statistical data, and decipher and maintain reports upon request.
Ability to work varying schedules to reflect business needs.
Ability to interact professionally with internal and external guests.

Nice To Haves

Two years of experience in a related field preferred.
A second language is a plus.

Responsibilities

Assemble necessary materials and supplies from the storeroom.
Clean assigned areas by washing furnishings and equipment, mopping floors, and using special solutions and disinfectants.
Vacuum carpets in offices, guest areas, and back-of-house areas.
Clean throughout the facility with disinfectant.
Comply with department and company rules, regulations, procedures, internal controls, and safety regulations.
Complete assigned tasks in a timely manner, including heavy and high cleaning assignments.
Return equipment to the storeroom at the end of the shift.
Clean used equipment and place soiled rags and mops in designated areas.
Attend periodic meetings and training sessions.
Demonstrate and provide outstanding customer and employee relations.
Maintain a neat and clean appearance.
Report mechanical failures or negative conditions in assigned areas using a maintenance request form.
Assist in training new team members.
Perform other duties as assigned.
