About The Position

Gateway Clipper Fleet is seeking a part-time Overnight Dockhand/Watchman. This position is responsible for ensuring the safety and security of the facility and vessels throughout the night. Duties include making regular rounds to check vessel security and mechanical issues, janitorial tasks such as cleaning the office space, making trash runs, hosing off the dock, and picking up trash. The role requires availability on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday nights from 11 pm to 7 am. There is potential for full-time employment with weekday shifts.

Responsibilities

• Ensure safety and security of the facility and vessels through the night
• Make sure gate to property is locked after hours
• Making regular rounds to each vessel to ensure lines are tight and vessels are secure and no mechanical issues that must be immediately dealt with
• Janitorial duties over night
• Cleaning of the office space
• Making trash runs with the tracker from dock to dumpster
• Hosing off dock
• Picking up trash from customers leaving late night
