About The Position

The Overnight Cleaning Supervisor at Brooklyn Paramount schedules and directs staff in their work assignments, helps ensure venue areas are clean and ready, manages cleaning supplies and equipment, and supports venue sustainability and end-of-show closeout. The overnight schedule varies from 9 p.m. to 9 a.m. The position requires regular physical activity, including walking, climbing stairs, and lifting and carrying 50 pounds or more.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite.
• Attention to detail, quality, and accuracy.
• Cash-handling skills.
• Strong relationship-building and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to walk and climb stairs constantly and to lift and carry 50 pounds or more; occasional sitting is required.

Responsibilities

• Schedule and direct staff in their work assignments.
• Conduct pre-event inspections of venue areas before opening to ensure cleanliness.
• Arrange for repair or replacement of used or damaged equipment.
• Manage cleaning supplies and equipment, including maintenance and restocking.
• Participate in the venue’s sustainability program, which may include conserving resources, preventing waste, sorting waste, collecting recycling, and educating fans about sustainability efforts.
• Help close the venue at the end of shows, including collecting recyclables and picking up and properly storing event equipment such as barricades.
• Perform other tasks as assigned by the Cleaning Manager.
