About The Position

The Overnight Cleaner is responsible for the overall cleanliness and sanitation of all areas of the Planet Fitness facility to support an outstanding member experience and maintain safety. The role follows Planet Fitness cleaning standards and established schedules, maintains cleaning equipment and supplies, and reports broken or missing amenities and equipment to the Club Manager. Daily duties may also include greeting members and guests, answering phones, processing retail transactions, addressing member concerns, and checking club areas for safety and cleanliness issues.

Requirements

Ability to work the overnight shift.
Must be at least 18 years old.
Willingness to become CPR/AED certified; training is provided by Planet Fitness.
Basic computer proficiency.
Ability to stand and move continually throughout the club during the shift.
Ability to communicate continually in person or by phone during the shift.
Ability to lift up to 75 pounds.
Ability to work around toxic chemicals.
Ability to frequently clean and sanitize equipment and facilities.
Ability to bend, twist, and move into different positions to complete tasks.

Nice To Haves

Cleaning and sanitizing experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

Thoroughly clean and sanitize common areas, including restrooms, locker rooms, fitness equipment, and the Black Card Spa, according to Planet Fitness cleaning standards.
Vacuum floors and operate the floor scrubber machine according to the established schedule.
Dispose of trash and maintain trash cans and cleaning centers.
Replenish supplies and paper products as needed and communicate inventory needs to the Club Manager.
Clean and dust items high off the ground, such as ceiling fans, TVs, and rafters.
Report broken or missing amenities or equipment to the Club Manager.
Operate the washing machine and dryer.
Maintain cleaning equipment, including cleaning the mop bucket and emptying vacuum bags.
Greet members and guests as they enter and exit the club and assist with questions or concerns during check-in.
Answer phones courteously and assist callers with inquiries.
Execute retail transactions accurately and support sales goals.
Resolve member concerns and escalate them to a Manager as needed.
Frequently walk through all club areas, promptly address safety or policy issues, and resolve cleanliness concerns.
Follow applicable health and safety policies and protocols, report unsafe conditions or at-risk behaviors, and work safely.
