About The Position

Right at Home is looking for experienced overnight caregivers who are dependable, compassionate, and comfortable supporting clients during nighttime hours. If you have caregiving experience and enjoy providing calm, steady care when clients need it most, this could be a great fit. Our overnight caregivers help clients remain safe and comfortable in their homes by assisting with personal care, toileting, transfers, mobility support, repositioning, dementia care, companionship, and light household tasks as needed. Your presence during the night can give both clients and their families peace of mind. Right at Home provides outstanding care and we are a leader in the home care industry. We serve the towns of Englewood, Boca Grande, Port Charlotte, Punta Gorda, and limited zip codes in North Port and Arcadia.

Requirements

18+ years of age
Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English as needed for the job
A valid driver’s license and current automobile insurance
High school diploma or GED
Must pass drug screening
Pass a full employment background check
Caregiving experience
Dependable, compassionate, and comfortable supporting clients during nighttime hours

Responsibilities

Assisting clients with personal care, toileting, transfers, mobility support, repositioning, and dementia care.
Providing companionship and light household tasks as needed.
Assisting clients with eating, personal hygiene, dressing, and shaving.
Performing light housekeeping and laundry.
Preparing meals.
Providing medication reminders.
Guiding clients through prescribed range of motion exercises.
Engaging in companionship activities such as reading, music, and puzzles.
