The monitor is responsible for ensuring services are provided according to various regulatory standards and agency policies, maintaining required documentation, and conducting steady care calls. Additionally, they inspect the building for hazards, report maintenance issues, ensure cleanliness, attend staff meetings, and respond to resident conflicts or emergencies using trauma-informed care and de-escalation techniques. The role also requires maintaining core training certifications and may involve serving as a Fire Safety Officer, Safety Coordinator, or Human Rights Officer.
