About The Position

This position is required to operate the overhead crane in a safe and efficient manner moving materials to the precast beds as required.

Nice To Haves

• Forklift certification

Responsibilities

• Operate traveling overhead crane to lift, move, and position loads of material using a hook hoisting attachment.
• Strip products from the forms.
• Know and understand the rigging angles, chain capacity, and hooks that are necessary to perform the picks.
• Facilitate the bed needs with torches for cutting the cables loose, unloading steel from trailers, and installing form work on the beds.
• Perform weekly check to determine if the form oil barrels need to be replaced.
• Always ensure safe and proper operation of the crane.
• Obtain forklift certification to facilitate spools of cable, form oil, torches, and any other needs to the beds.
• Housekeeping as necessary to maintain work area, tools, and equipment in a clean and orderly manner.
• Must adhere to all Metromont and OSHA safety rules and regulations.
