About The Position

The Crane Operator/Loader is responsible for handling materials as related to the shipping and receiving of inventory and customer orders. This position reports directly to the Operations Manager. 2nd Shift Hours: 2:30 p.m. – 12:00 a.m., with availability to work overtime as needed.

Requirements

Minimum of 2 years of experience operating overhead cranes in an industrial or distribution environment
Valid certification to operate overhead cranes is required
High School diploma or GED; or 1-3 months of related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience
Understanding of DOT regulations regarding load weight
Ability to follow safety protocols and operational procedures
Reliable with a strong work ethic
Willingness to learn new skills and train others
Ability to pass a physical examination for vision, hearing, and mobility
Demonstrated reliable work history
Must be detail-oriented with a strong focus on precision and quality in all tasks

Responsibilities

Safely operate overhead cranes and forklifts
Understand the products handled, including color coding and customer specifications; read and interpret all measuring devices
Unload and receive inbound stock shipments and load outbound shipments, ensuring all necessary paperwork is completed
Safely load trucks, including proper chaining and tarping of trailers
Perform other duties as assigned to support warehouse operations
