Pratt & Whitney is seeking an Overhaul & Repair Process Mechanic B for the 2nd shift. This role is onsite and requires U.S. citizenship due to program/contract requirements. Requirements

  • HS Diploma or equivalent
  • 1-3 years of plasma coatings experience.
  • U.S. citizenship is required.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and perform work to set up and operate various manual and automatic part treatment, heat treat, flame spray, and coating equipment.
  • Perform work on Overhaul & Repair parts using established methods and techniques with provided tooling and fixturing.
  • Perform braze fab prep, assembly, and masking as required.
  • Follow standard practices and operating procedures for striping, cleaning, and braze fab operations using equipment such as manual and automatic grit blasters, water jet machines, and dry baking ovens.
  • Set up and operate automatic and manual flame spray, plating, painting, and coating equipment for overhaul & repair parts.
  • Set up, operate, load, unload, and monitor heat treat furnaces for braze heat treat, stress relief, and sizing operations.
  • Perform routine maintenance and servicing of spray units, guns, nozzles, seals, fittings, and filters in the assigned area, following operator checklists to ensure proper equipment operation.
  • Assist others with new part process tryout, repair, and other specialized assignments within the scope and skill level of the job description.
  • Refer difficulties to the leader/supervisor.
  • May be assigned tasks not specifically listed but within the scope and skill level to support department objectives and develop skills.
  • May be required to train for, obtain, and maintain licenses, operator permits, and certifications within the assigned area.
