About The Position

As a Class A CDL OTR Driver, you will safely and promptly deliver and pick up goods at locations across the country while meeting American Furniture Warehouse’s quality expectations and safety standards. The role involves operating 53-foot dry vans, using an electronic logging device, and reporting vehicle problems or defects to the on-site truck maintenance department. Drivers must comply with state, local, and national Department of Transportation standards and regulations and maintain a good driving record. Drivers are home weekly, with 34–48 hours of home time. Most loads are drop-and-hook, 98% of freight is no-touch, and trips are pre-planned and scheduled. The position averages 3,000 miles per week.

Requirements

Hold a Class A CDL without restrictions and be able to maintain a CDL.
Have at least one year of recent over-the-road experience with similar equipment.
Have no major FMCSA violations.
Have a clean MVR with no at-fault DOT-reportable accidents within the last three years.
Live within 100 miles of an AFW Distribution Center.
Have basic computer skills.
Pass a pre-employment drug screen, background check, and fit-for-duty exam upon job offer.
