About The Position

As a Class A CDL OTR Driver, you will safely and promptly deliver and pick up goods at locations across the country while meeting American Furniture Warehouse’s quality expectations and safety standards. The role averages 3,000 miles per week, with home time weekly for 34–48 hours. Most loads are drop-and-hook, 98% of freight is no-touch, and trips are pre-planned and scheduled. Drivers operate 53-foot dry vans and use an electronic logging device (ELD).

Requirements

• Hold a CDL with no restrictions and be able to maintain it.
• Have at least one year of recent over-the-road experience with similar equipment.
• Have no major FMCSA violations.
• Have a clean motor vehicle record (MVR) and no at-fault DOT-reportable accidents within the last three years.
• Live within 100 miles of an American Furniture Warehouse Distribution Center.
• Pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check upon job offer.

Responsibilities

• Deliver and pick up products safely, on time, and accurately.
• Operate 53-foot dry vans and use an electronic logging device (ELD).
• Report vehicle problems and defects to the on-site truck maintenance department.
• Comply with state, local, and national Department of Transportation standards and regulations while maintaining a good driving record.
