About The Position

AFW is seeking an experienced Over the Road CDL Truck Driver to join our team. This position offers competitive pay, including mileage pay, safety bonuses, top driver bonuses, performance bonuses, detention pay, breakdown pay, layover pay, and referral bonuses. Drivers can expect to be home weekly with 34-48 hours of home time, with most drivers receiving two days off per week. We offer weekly payroll with an average yearly pay between $85,000 to $130,000. As a family-owned company with family values, we pride ourselves on a high percentage of drop and hook loads (75%) and no-touch freight (98%). All trips are pre-planned, and we haul our own freight, ensuring drivers don't have to wait at truck stops for loads. We offer paid orientation and allow dogs in the tractor as long as it's kept clean and odor-free. Benefits include vacation, sick time, personal days, and 6 benefit plans to choose from, including 401K, medical, dental, vision, life insurance, and other voluntary benefits available on the first day of the month following 60 days of employment. All training is provided by AFW. A pre-employment drug screen and background check are required.

Requirements

At least 1yr. OTR tractor-trailer driving experience in the past 3 years
No major FMCSA violations.
Acceptable MVR and PSP within the last three years.
Must be able to maintain a CDL.

Mountain driver a plus.

Responsibilities

Commitment to AFW's safety policies and procedures and the ability to promote awareness.
Able to perform vehicle pre-trips up to FMCSA standards.
Ability to operate Electronic Qualcomm Log System.
Must be willing to chain up during severe weather.
Must be aware that operations occur on asphalt, concrete and gravel surfaces in a hostile environment often contaminated with material subject to embedding in tires.
Must function and interact on a routine basis with the AFW management team.
Communicate using a cellular telephone with dispatch and AFW personnel via McLeod application.
Ability to efficiently work independently of direct supervision.
