About The Position

Kent Quality Foods, a family-owned business and an established leader in the food processing industry, is hiring for Oven Operator positions at their Grand Rapids Location. The company is looking for individuals who are appreciated for their work and offers a supportive team environment.

Requirements

• Ability to lift 50+ lbs, and stand for extended periods of time
• Ability to follow instructions and procedures
• Ability to cross-train
• Ability to work in cold work environment
• Process a good understanding of health and safety and basic hygiene rules
• The ability to maintain concentration for repetitive tasks
• Accuracy and attention to detail
• Good team working skills
• Basic computer knowledge

Nice To Haves

• Prior experience in food manufacturing is a plus

Responsibilities

• Cook product to its established specifications
• Look for suspect product- correct labels
• Hang sticks of meat as they exit ovens for chilling process
• Record meat temperatures in accordance with CCP procedures
• Maintain a clean and sanitized work area throughout the day
• Troubleshoot quality deviations with shift leadership
• Follow all relevant SOP's
• Abide by all Employee and Food Safety processes and procedures
