About The Position

This role is responsible for operating ovens and ensuring product quality and consistency. The position requires mechanical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively within a team. Responsibilities include setting ovens and conveyors, controlling temperatures and times, communicating with team members, and maintaining product specifications.

Requirements

Mechanical skills and knowledge to set ovens and oven conveyors.
Visual observation and manual dexterity for controlling oven temperatures and times.
High degree of mental competence for quick decision-making and problem-solving.
Basic math skills.
Reading and writing skills.
Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
Ability to use locking pins on bins.
Ability to use PPE for safety.
Good attendance.

Nice To Haves

Experience as an Extruder Operator or on a Packaging Team.

Responsibilities

Set ovens and oven conveyors using mechanical skills and knowledge.
Control temperatures and times of ovens with visual observation and manual dexterity.
Make quick decisions and react to problems as they occur.
Verbally communicate with team members to prevent and correct quality-related issues using company telephones and intercom systems.
Maintain product quality and consistency with a high degree of attention and concentration.
Set temperatures, adjust speeds, and document information to ensure product is processed correctly according to customer specifications and instructions.
Use locking pins on all bins to ensure product is not damaged during storage and transportation.
Perform housekeeping duties as needed.
Report equipment problems and safety hazards to the supervisor.
Rotate between Oven Operator, Extruder Operator, and Packaging Team roles.
Get along with co-workers and be a team player.
Use PPE for safety as required by OSHA Standards.
Maintain good attendance.
