About The Position

The Oven Operator is responsible for ensuring the efficient operation of wafer ovens and other production equipment. The role includes resolving day-to-day mechanical and operating issues, adjusting machines based on quality data, recording production reports, supporting product quality checks, and assisting with equipment maintenance. The position requires following written procedures and Good Manufacturing Practices, maintaining a clean and organized work area, communicating effectively with team members, and working independently with minimal supervision.

Requirements

• Read, understand, and strictly follow written procedures.
• Understand and strictly adhere to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
• Detect audible tones and alarms.
• Stay organized and maintain a clean work area.
• Identify areas needing attention and address or report them as necessary.
• Speak, listen, and communicate effectively with team members.
• Follow direction and perform assigned duties independently with minimal supervision.
• Meet the company attendance policy, including punctuality and limited unapproved absences.
• Demonstrate a good work record and attendance.
• Have English comprehension skills.
• Have basic computer literacy skills.
• Regularly bend, stoop, twist, and lift; stand or walk for up to 12 hours per day; safely lift up to 50 pounds; climb, reach, and regularly use stairs.

Responsibilities

• Keep ovens operating at optimal capacity by resolving day-to-day mechanical and operating issues while minimizing scrap.
• Adjust machines according to quality data provided by Quality Assurance.
• Record appropriate oven production reports.
• Assist with product quality checks and document them accordingly.
• Assist Maintenance in maintaining the mechanical operation of equipment.
• Perform other duties as assigned by a supervisor.
