About The Position

MIRATECH, a global leader in emission and silencing solutions, is currently seeking an Outsource Coordinator. The Outsource Coordinator is responsible for managing and optimizing MIRATECH's outsourced manufacturing operations. This role serves as the primary point of coordination between MIRATECH and external manufacturing partners, ensuring materials, components, and services are delivered on time, within budget, and in alignment with production requirements. The position requires a strong understanding of manufacturing planning, fabrication processes, engineering documentation, and supplier management to support effective make-versus-buy decisions and successful execution of outsourced manufacturing strategies.

Requirements

  • Minimum of five (5) years of experience in supply chain, procurement, production planning, inventory control, logistics, manufacturing operations, or a related field within a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong knowledge of Master Production Scheduling (MPS), Material Requirements Planning (MRP), Capacity Requirements Planning (CRP), Production Control and Shop Floor Scheduling, Inventory Management, Procurement and Supplier Management, and Warehousing and Transportation Operations
  • Demonstrated success implementing cost reduction and process improvement initiatives.
  • Advanced experience with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems and data analysis.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to make data-driven decisions.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to build effective relationships across all levels of the organization and with external suppliers.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.
  • Experience working on cross-functional teams and leading collaborative initiatives.
  • Ability to remain organized, responsive, and effective under pressure.
  • Experience supporting manufacturing operations in an Engineer-to-Order (ETO), custom fabrication, or project-based manufacturing environment preferred.
  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings, fabrication drawings, bills of materials (BOMs), and specifications to support planning, sourcing, outsourcing, and production execution activities.
  • Working knowledge of fabrication and manufacturing processes including welding, machining, forming, assembly, painting/coating, and outsourced manufacturing operations.
  • Working knowledge of should cost tools, make-versus-buy costing tools.
  • Ability to read and understand engineering drawings, fabrication prints, weld symbols, dimensions, tolerances, and material specifications.
  • Understanding of how fabrication processes, routing structures, material requirements, and production lead times impact planning, scheduling, capacity utilization, and supplier performance.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with engineering, production, quality, and supply chain teams to resolve technical and manufacturing-related issues.

Nice To Haves

  • Degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering, Operations Management, or a related technical field preferred.
  • APICS certification (CPIM, CSCP) or other professional supply chain certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze production schedules, material requirements planning (MRP) outputs, and capacity requirements to determine optimal make-versus-buy decisions based on cost, lead time, capacity, and total cost of ownership.
  • Develop and execute plans to meet production demand through internal manufacturing and outsourced suppliers.
  • Monitor outsourced production schedules and proactively expedite orders to mitigate risks to delivery commitments.
  • Track and report production progress, material shortages, completion status, and supplier performance metrics.
  • Coordinate material movement with third-party logistics (3PL) providers, transportation partners, and outsourced manufacturers to ensure timely delivery of materials and finished goods.
  • Maintain continuous availability of raw materials and manufactured components while supporting inventory management objectives.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and suppliers to resolve supply chain disruptions and improve material flow.
  • Manage purchasing activities related to outsourced manufacturing, including RFQ development, supplier quotations, purchase order creation, and order expediting.
  • Support supplier sourcing, qualification, onboarding, and ongoing supplier performance management initiatives.
  • Assist in negotiating pricing, delivery schedules, service agreements, warranties, and contractual terms to achieve cost and performance objectives.
  • Foster strong supplier relationships that support quality, delivery, and continuous improvement goals.
  • Analyze ERP and operational data to identify cost reduction opportunities, improve supplier performance, and enhance supply chain efficiency.
  • Evaluate key cost drivers and recommend strategies to reduce total supply chain costs.
  • Review and communicate Bill of Materials (BOM) discrepancies to engineering teams for correction and process improvement.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives that enhance planning accuracy, inventory performance, and operational effectiveness.
