About The Position

Palos Verdes Golf Club is a private club established in 1924, located in an 800-acre parkland preserve overlooking Santa Monica Bay. The Outside Services/Bag Room Attendant supports members and guests at the bag drop and throughout their golf experience, while maintaining the bag room and outside services areas. The role involves handling golf bags and clubs, preparing and maintaining golf carts and related equipment, assisting with driving-range operations, and helping the golf shop and pro shop as needed. The position requires a courteous, attentive, service-oriented approach and a flexible schedule that includes weekends and holidays.

Basic knowledge of golf course operations.

Nice To Haves

High school diploma preferred.
Minimum one year of related experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Report to work and clock in and out for scheduled shifts and required breaks on time, following golf department dress code requirements.
Maintain personal grooming in compliance with Club appearance standards.
Interact courteously and service-orientatedly with members, guests, and colleagues, remaining attentive, friendly, helpful, and respectful.
Greet members and guests arriving at the bag drop within 30 seconds and provide personal attention, address them by name, and handle their clubs properly.
Stage golf carts for play and ensure they are equipped with a scorecard, pencil, and full sand bottle.
Load golf bags onto carts at members' or guests' request and unload them after their rounds.
Clean golf clubs after use and store them in the proper location.
Store golf bags properly in the bag room.
Replace water in buckets and club cleaners as needed, and clean spike cleaners daily.
Re-grip golf clubs at members' or guests' request.
Pick the driving range; clean golf balls and ensure baskets are properly filled.
Perform opening and closing duties for the bag room and outside services area at the start and end of each shift.
Keep the bag room and outside services area clean and orderly.
Assist the golf shop with other duties as requested and assist pro shop staff during tournaments.
Help ensure members and guests have a pleasant golfing experience.
