About The Position

Perennials and Sutherland, LLC is a highly respected company in the luxury home furnishings, textiles, and accessories market, serving an elite clientele of design professionals. The company has over four decades of experience and is dedicated to creating and marketing unique products. They are seeking an Outside Sales professional to join their New York David Sutherland Showroom team. This role involves driving sales by presenting and selling the company's products and services to design professionals within the assigned territory. The ideal candidate will share a passion for creativity, design, and art, contributing to a beautiful and inspiring work environment.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
  • Minimum 3 years of sales experience with high end furnishings and textiles
  • Must have proven and verifiable sales success record with developing business by expanding your customer base and growing sales

Nice To Haves

  • Furniture Industry knowledge is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Drive sales to the Showroom by presenting and selling the David Sutherland Showroom product and services to all design professionals in the territory
  • Perform 10-15 sales calls on average per week to both residential and hospitality firms, including current clients and cold calls. A sales call involves a presentation to a key contact showcasing new products and products applicable to current projects/needs.
  • Perform 5-10 “bird calls” a week to update and maintain clients’ libraries.
  • Be accountable for individual sales goals.
  • Seek new client relationships.
  • Manage and schedule all manufacturer visits and provide a brief summary of the week after the visit during the weekly team meeting.
  • Identify “Top 10 Projects” and report on weekly progress during weekly meetings.
  • Provide accurate and clear notes in CRM regarding all meetings for the week.
