About The Position

Sunstate Equipment Co. is seeking an Outside Sales Representative for Trench Shoring in Houston. We are a company that values safety and people, offering a Monday-Friday schedule with 55-60 hours per week and weekly pay. As an Outside Sales Representative, you will be provided with a company truck, cell phone, and laptop. We offer a bonus plan with pay based on salary, not commission, and provide a $200 annual work boot allowance and all necessary PPE. Our unique 'My Holiday' benefit allows you to celebrate any holiday without using personal time.

Requirements

• 3 years Outside Sales experience in the construction industry required.
• 2-3 years experience in the Trench Shoring industry is highly preferred.
• High quality control.
• Respect your work and make it known.
• Intermediate competency with Microsoft Office Suite and CRM programs.
• Be an efficient and effective communicator and hold yourself to the Sunstate standard of excellence.
• Knowledge of OSHA 29 CFR 1926 Subpart P as it pertains to excavation safety is preferred.
• Knowledge of OSHA 29 CFR 1910 as it pertains to confined space entry is preferred.
• Basic computer skills including average typing skills.

Responsibilities

• Secure orders, locate new customers, plan sales calls, and make presentations demonstrating the advantages of dealing with Sunstate Equipment.
• Build strong business relationships through respect for the customer and a sincere desire to service their needs.
• Establish and maintain personal relations with customers.
• Solve customer’s problems and provide assistance to product application.
• Provide trench safety and confined space specific solutions, including engineered systems for site specific applications.
• Provide on-site system install assistance when needed.
• Engage in the early stages of project bids.
• Instruct competent person training classes for excavation safety and confined space entry as needed.
• Keep customers up to date on new products in Sunstate fleet.
