About The Position

Würth Baer Supply Company is seeking an Outside Sales Territory Manager to cover the Greater Kansas City Region. This is a direct hire position. As a sales representative, you will work independently and decide how to best grow your market. You will look for top solutions for both the company and our customers and deliver quality service and reliability to your customers. Your responsibilities include handling current customer accounts, growing sales and growing your accounts overall. Treat your territory as if it is your own business, use your follow up skills and help us become the company of choice for our customers. The territory covers the Northwest corner of Missouri, north of I-70 and east of Kansas City to Columbia, but not including Columbia. You will inherit hundreds of active customers worth millions, so you won't have to start from scratch by any means. The goal is to grow business in the territory and gradually add new customers. These will be your customers and yours alone. No internal competition. All reps stay in their own territories. The customer types include millwork fabricators, architectural and design firms, cabinetmakers, kitchen & bath showrooms, and wood shops. Products include cabinetry + cabinetry hardware, PPE, synthetic countertops, plywood/laminates, finishes/coatings, adhesives, fasteners, abrasives, sinks, lighting, machinery, hand tools, and power tools.

Requirements

  • Two (2) years of demonstrated success in outside sales experience, preferably in the woodworking or industrial/distribution arena
  • Advanced Excel skills
  • Excellent written and communication skills

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's degree is preferred
  • Geographical familiarity with the Greater Kansas City Region
