About The Position

As an Outside Food Sales Representative, you will cultivate relationships, develop new business, and provide innovative solutions to customers, helping them achieve their goals. This position is located in the Grand Rapids/Holland/Muskegon areas.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma/GED
  • 2 years of consistent prior sales (food sales preferred) and/or restaurant leadership experience
  • Maintaining a valid state driver's license and a safe driving record

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's degree and/or culinary certificate

Responsibilities

  • Pursue new customers by researching industry and market trends, identifying and researching prospective customers, developing sales strategies, and presenting them.
  • Deepen and strengthen existing customer relationships by visiting customers regularly, conducting business reviews, providing training on product offerings, and identifying opportunities for Gordon Food Service to add value.
  • Manage sales territory by balancing new customer acquisition with existing customer relationship management, coordinating visits, and communicating order status and updates.
