This person will work in the San Antonio, TX, and surrounding area. This is an established territory with great growth potential!

Requirements

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Strong understanding of industrial automation principles and applications preferred
  • Ability to translate technical concepts into clear and concise language for customers
  • Experience identifying customer needs and proposing technical solutions
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) with a plus for Salesforce experience.
  • Passion for sales and a commitment to achieving results
  • Self-motivated with a results-driven approach
  • Ability to learn quickly and stay up-to-date on industry trends
  • Experience selling to industrial, municipal, OEM, or food processing companies is a plus
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, a related technical field preferred, or equivalent work experience

Responsibilities

  • Provide support to new and existing customers by demonstrating the company’s products proficiently
  • Ability to identify and develop new customers.
  • Must have the ability to ask questions to determine customer needs.
  • Document sales calls and activities in CRM database
  • Prospect for new customers through cold calling, networking, and lead follow-up
  • Consult with customers to identify their automation challenges, analyze their needs, and propose effective solutions using Shepherd’s product offerings
  • Develop and deliver compelling presentations showcasing Shepherd's automation products and services
  • Represent Shepherd Controls at trade shows, lunch and learns, and industry conferences
  • Negotiate and close deals, addressing customer concerns and objections
  • Collaborate with internal teams to achieve optimal results for all Shepherd customers
  • Gather customer feedback and share insights with relevant departments
