About The Position

We are seeking a driven, entrepreneurial Outside Sales Representative with experience in the climate control rental industry to establish and grow our climate control rental business in the Greater Boston region. This role is for a 'hunter' who thrives on breaking into new markets, identifying opportunities, and building new customer relationships. The representative will be responsible for developing the Greater Boston territory, targeting customers in construction, commercial, industrial, mechanical/HVAC, restoration, events, and other industries requiring temporary climate control solutions. Responsibilities include prospecting, visiting jobsites, networking, identifying projects, building relationships with decision-makers, and creating a sales pipeline. As the first salesperson in Boston, the role offers the opportunity to shape market strategy, identify key customer segments, build local presence, and establish foundational relationships for future growth. The ideal candidate is proactive, comfortable with cold outreach, skilled in territory development, competitive, persistent, resourceful, relationship-oriented, market-aware, and thrives with autonomy. The role offers the freedom to manage the territory like a business, supported by the company's resources and expertise.

Requirements

  • 5-10 yrs + Proven success in sales or business development roles, with a focus on strategic growth and customer engagement in the equipment rental or related industries (construction, oil & gas, industrial or ag equipment manufacturing, etc.).
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong analytical abilities with experience in forecasting, pricing, and financial modeling.
  • Proficiency with CRM systems, Microsoft Office Suite, and project management tools.
  • Willingness to travel for client meetings, trade shows, and industry events.

Responsibilities

  • Scout and pursue new project opportunities through research, outreach, conferences, and digital platforms.
  • Forge lasting relationships with potential and existing clients to unlock long-term value.
  • Design and execute business development initiatives aligned with our growth goals.
  • Craft compelling pricing proposals and contracts, and support executive teams during deal negotiations.
  • Collaborate with finance and operations teams to monitor project performance and continuously improve outcomes.
  • Coordinate promotional efforts to amplify product visibility and customer engagement.
  • Attend trade shows and industry events to keep a pulse on market trends and build brand presence.
  • Partner with internal teams to deliver product demos, customer training, and smooth onboarding experiences.
