About The Position

Rugby Architectural Building Products is a wholesale distributor of specialty building products, operating out of 26 branches throughout the United States. Our primary business is non-structural architectural grade building products sold principally to customers who create and produce end-products for the commercial, industrial, retail, residential and institutional markets. We are growing and looking for an Outside Sales Representative, responsible for growing business and selling our product line in a specific territory.

Requirements

Interest in working for a company that values hard work and loyalty.

Minimum of 6-10 years sales experience, ideally in an outside sales or territory sales representative role.
Ideally in the construction sales industry or building materials industry.
Knowledge of millwork and understand 2-step distribution.
Ability to travel as needed throughout the territory.
Excellent customer service skills.
Must be able to drive a company vehicle, subject to routine drug screening.

Nice To Haves

Knowledge of DMSi Agility software a plus.

Responsibilities

Sell our products to current customers in the region through a focus on customer service.
Manage sales throughout the region and customer base.
Grow sales by increasing our customer base to new customers.
Call on potential new customers throughout the territory.
Communicate the needs of the customer with the branch to better ensure optimized product mix and increase future sales.
Communicate with inside sales staff to ensure a coordinated and synchronized sales effort.
Lead the conversation and develop our business through sales growth and customer service.
Accompany vendors' sales representatives as needed, calling on appropriate customer accounts to satisfy vendor concerns.
