About The Position

Vert Environmental is hiring an Outside Sales Representative to cover Orange County. This role is ideal for individuals who are natural hunters, thrive on face-to-face interactions, enjoy building new relationships, and are motivated by results. The position offers strong earning potential, long-term career growth, and the stability of a recession-resistant industry. You will build your pipeline from the ground up, own every client relationship, and earn uncapped monthly commission on top of a strong base salary. You will spend approximately 90% of your time in the field, meeting property managers, restoration contractors, real estate professionals, insurance contacts, and other key prospects across Orange County. Your primary responsibilities include building real relationships, becoming the go-to environmental testing expert, and closing business. This involves generating new business through various outreach methods, running the full sales cycle, serving clients as a trusted advisor for environmental testing services (asbestos, mold, lead, bacteria, etc.), identifying upsell and repeat business opportunities, and maintaining an organized pipeline in CRM.

Requirements

  • Proven track record in outside or field sales, with experience owning a territory and consistently meeting or exceeding performance targets backed by measurable results
  • Enjoy being on the move, building relationships face-to-face, and spending most of your time in the field (this is a 90% field-based role)
  • Comfortable with cold prospecting, consistent follow-up, and independently closing deals without hand-holding
  • Resilient and professional when handling rejection, staying focused and motivated by results
  • Self-directed, able to manage your own schedule and prioritize effectively
  • Hold a valid driver’s license and have reliable transportation

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with CRM tools (Salesforce, HubSpot, or similar)
  • Background in environmental services, construction, real estate, or restoration industries

Responsibilities

  • Own and grow your territory through daily face-to-face outreach
  • Generate new business through office visits, job site drop-ins, industry events, and trade shows
  • Build long-term relationships with potential clients
  • Run the full sales cycle - qualify, propose, negotiate, and close
  • Serve clients as a trusted advisor for environmental testing: asbestos, mold, lead, bacteria, and more
  • Identify upsell and repeat business opportunities within your existing accounts
