About The Position

Axis Portable Air rents portable and temporary air conditioning, heating, and air quality equipment to end-users that operate in environments where temperature control is crucial. The company works with HVAC and general contractors, data centers, restaurant groups, government institutions, healthcare systems, and more. This full-time Outside Sales Representative role is responsible for relentlessly hunting new business opportunities while protecting and growing existing ones. The position requires splitting time between the office, where enterprise-level sales resources are leveraged, and on the road, meeting with clients face-to-face for meetings or job-site visits. Strategies and time-commitments will shift with the seasons, adapting to peak summer, winter, and constant customer demands. Requirements

  • Sales Experience: 2+ years in B2B sales, with a proven track record of managing existing accounts, as well as cold-calling, appointment setting, and grassroots efforts to generate new business (experience in equipment rental, HVAC, or related industries is not required).
  • Expert Communication Skills: Demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Technology Proficient: Must be adept at using our CRM tools, tablets, and company provided hardware.
  • On-Going Education: Must demonstrate a strong desire to understand companies' equipment, its functionality across diverse environments, and its limitations, applying this expertise to provide tailored customer solutions.

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with HVAC or mechanical equipment is not required but is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Drive Revenue: Prospect, cold-call, and generate new local business opportunities, as well as grow companies existing strategic and national accounts within your local market.
  • Answer Your Phone: Be the front line of inbound communication. In an emergency-driven sales role, customer problems are your chance to take orders, earn trust, and drive revenue.
  • Time On the Road: You will visit customer job sites, businesses, and beyond, connecting face-to-face to understand their needs and deliver solutions. At times, this may require light travel.
  • Use Company Technology: Use companies' enterprise-level sales tools to target company-identified accounts, convert warm leads, document activity, and enter customer data into company CRM.
  • Work As A Team: Collaborate with your RSM, OSRs, inside sales, and the national accounts team to maximize every opportunity and meet assigned budget and performance goals.
