About The Position

We're looking to add an Outside Sales Representative to our Atlanta team. Benefast is a family-owned construction fastening and industrial supply distributor founded in Nashville in 1993, serving commercial contractors across the Southeast. Our Atlanta branch opened in 2024 with tremendous growth potential for the right person. The Outside Sales Representative is responsible for profitable revenue growth through relationship-driven sales to commercial contractors — primarily large commercial drywall contractors. This is a commission-based performance role. You own customer relationships, pricing decisions, margin responsibility, and daily sales execution. Full autonomy on customer pricing — and full accountability for margin impact.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience in commercial construction industry or supply
  • 3+ years of sales experience
  • Relationship-driven — this is a face-to-face, jobsite-visit role
  • Margin discipline — you understand that revenue without profit isn't growth
  • Self-motivated — nobody is going to manage your calendar for you
  • Clean documentation habits — CRM, orders, quotes
  • Proactive communicator across departments
  • Professional attitude with excellent attention to detail
  • Must be able to pass a background check and MVR check
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, sit or stand for extended periods

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain contractor relationships through regular jobsite and office visits (new reps: 5–10 visits/day)
  • Maintain a daily presence in the office when not on sales calls
  • Identify new leads and expand product mix within existing accounts
  • Become familiar with our product offerings and niche in the construction fastening and supply space
  • Prepare quotes and customer price lists
  • Price all Sales Orders responsibly and maintain margin standards
  • Enter or review all Sales Orders in NetSuite daily and mark orders "Ready to Bill" daily
  • Source and place orders for non-stock items
  • Maintain oversight of open Sales Orders, Purchase Orders, and Work Orders
  • Log all jobsite visits and activities in CRM
  • Track open quotes and follow up consistently
  • Coordinate with Inside Sales, Warehouse, and Purchasing on order execution
  • Work with Accounting to resolve billing disputes quickly

  • $75,000 guaranteed base salary during probationary period, then transitions to full commission
