About The Position

Van Zandt Controls and Eagle Automation is looking for an Outside Sales Representative based out of San Antonio, TX to grow sales in our San Antonio region. If you have an excellent customer service mentality, then this position is perfect for you. To succeed as an Outside Sales Representative, you should be polite and prompt with a commitment to providing our clients with an excellent experience. You should be thorough in selling our products, meeting our customer's needs, ensuring orders are properly fulfilled, committed to work safety, and passionate about satisfying clients.

Requirements

  • Proven outside sales success with 3+ years of experience (Technical sales preferred)
  • Proven success at securing new accounts
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Highly self-motivated and disciplined
  • Team player
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Ability to travel out of town and/or overnight
  • Must successfully compete pre-employment screening requirements including background check, MVR and drug screen

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working with an ERP and CRM system
  • Experience in oil and gas industry, specifically automation and measurement
  • Background of proven technical competence

Responsibilities

  • Leading sales efforts, business development, strengthening relationships and securing new business for the Company.
  • Articulating to both business and technical users how our technology, products and services can best meet our customers' needs.
  • Drafting quotes and proposals to help win business for the Company.
  • Utilizing the Eagle ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) system and Contact Relationship Management (CRM) systems effectively to track leads, produce quotes, and convert quotes to sales orders.
  • Frequent open communication with the VP of Sales, Operations Manager, inside sales, and the rest of the Eagle team.
  • Excelling in a fast-paced environment, being able to quickly learn the technical nature of our product portfolio, staying organized, and understanding the needs of our rapidly growing customer base.
  • Creating customer quotes and sales orders for our product and services offerings (Inside Sales support staff available for support).
  • Prospecting, developing, strengthening, and maintaining Valve Automation, Flow Measurement and Instrumentation customers.
  • Working closely with the senior management team to manage and develop relationships with target customers.
  • Managing and executing key sales initiatives and ensuring customer satisfaction.
  • Learning and incorporating new products, service capabilities, sales tactics, tools, and processes.
  • Ensuring customer satisfaction.
  • Assisting in marketing efforts.
  • Attending training to expand knowledge of offered products.
  • Regular and reliable attendance.
