About The Position

This role supports Circuit Breaker Services within the Group CBS family of businesses. The Outside Sales Representative is responsible for selling electrical power distribution products, services, and solutions within an assigned territory. Success comes from consultative selling, technical credibility, strong relationship management, and tight coordination with inside sales, engineering, and product specialists to deliver solutions that match customer needs.

Requirements

  • 5 to 7 years of experience in electrical equipment sales
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required, 2 year degree preferred
  • Experience selling to industrial, utility, data center, and power generation sectors
  • Background selling technical electrical products and services including circuit breakers, switchgear, and electrical distribution systems
  • Track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets
  • Experience managing complex sales cycles and territory development
  • History of developing and maintaining client relationships and account management
  • Experience collaborating with engineering and technical teams
  • Background responding to RFPs and RFIs for technical products
  • Experience with technical product demonstrations
  • Experience using customer relationship management systems in a results driven environment
  • Proven success as a Sales Representative with strong electrical background
  • Proven track record selling complex enterprise solutions
  • Ability to build strong relationships with senior decision makers
  • Ability to explain complex technical concepts in a clear, customer friendly way
  • Strong technical understanding of electrical distribution systems
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong presentation skills with creativity and confidence
  • Familiarity with ERP and CRM systems and sales tools
  • Strong negotiation and closing skills
  • Territory management and strategic planning abilities

Responsibilities

  • Territory growth and account management
  • Maintain and grow a well established territory through new business development and account expansion
  • Develop and maintain long term client relationships to drive renewals, repeat business, and customer satisfaction
  • Target industrial facilities, utilities, data centers, power generation sites, and electrical contractors
  • Consultative, technical sales execution
  • Sell electrical testing, engineering design, manufacturing, emergency response services, and life extension solutions
  • Promote low and medium voltage circuit breakers, switchgear, motor control, transformers, switching systems, and legacy power apparatus
  • Present CBS designed products such as remote racking solutions, electrical test products, and vacuum interrupter replacement bottles
  • Create and deliver technical presentations, demos, and consultations that clearly communicate value
  • Project collaboration and technical alignment
  • Partner with inside sales, product specialists, and engineering to plan and execute complex upgrade projects
  • Translate customer requirements into proposed solutions and manage technical aspects of the sales process
  • Support RFP and RFI responses and help coordinate proposal development
  • Communicate client needs to engineering and production teams to ensure delivery and satisfaction
  • Sales cycle ownership
  • Manage the full sales cycle from initial outreach through purchase order and post sale support
  • Assist with resolving account issues including collections on overdue invoices while protecting relationships
  • Track activities and opportunities using CRM tools and maintain accurate pipeline and territory planning
