About The Position

Wurth Louis and Company is seeking an Outside Sales Representative to join their team. This role is responsible for developing sales of Wurth Louis and Company products by conducting on-site customer visits with new and existing customers. The representative will develop and work an annual territory business plan, build and maintain customer relationships, and manage sales leads and customer accounts. The position involves answering phone calls, assisting customers with inquiries and sales, processing inquiries and orders, identifying customer needs, coordinating products and services, developing price quotations, and cross-selling or up-selling products. The role requires effective use of the SalesForce CRM program and travel within the sales territory to meet prospects and customers, with approximately 95% of the time spent in the field. Other duties may be assigned.

Requirements

  • College Degree and equivalent (2-4 or more years) sales experience required.
  • Must have reliable transportation and acceptable driving history / satisfactory MVR as well as, proof of acceptable insurance coverage
  • Must be detail oriented, self-motivated, customer service oriented, excellent communicator, and organized.
  • Must reside near or in assigned territory.

Nice To Haves

  • Professional sales experience, 4 plus years preferred
  • Woodworking experience and/or industry knowledge preferred.
  • Working knowledge of Excel, Word, and Outlook preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct on-site customer visits with new and existing customers, responsible for developing sales of Wurth Louis and Company products.
  • Develop and aggressively work an annual territory business plan.
  • Build and maintain relationships with new and repeat customers.
  • Maintain records of all sales leads and/or customer accounts.
  • Answer incoming phone calls and assist customers with inquiries and/or sales, promptly, courteously, and effectively.
  • Work with customers and inside sales to receive and process all inquiries and orders in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Identify customer product needs and coordinate products and services to address these needs.
  • Work with customers and inside sales to develop price quotations.
  • Cross-sell or up-sell products to customers to increase purchase amounts.
  • Report back to management through all channels required by manager.
  • Respond courteously and swiftly to customer inquiries and/or complaints.
  • Effective use of SalesForce CRM program.
  • Travel within sales territory to meet prospects and customers.
  • Conduct calls and face-to-face meetings with customers daily.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
