About The Position

American Stone is hiring a full-time Outside Sales Professional to build and maintain relationships with contractors, landscapers, architects, and masonry professionals. This role is focused on developing new business, managing existing accounts, and driving sales through consistent customer visits and follow-up. This is a primarily on-site position with significant time spent in the field visiting customers. Candidates must be local and available to work during business hours, including Saturdays. American Stone is a family-owned company supplying stone products for construction, landscaping, and retail customers. We operate multiple locations and quarries and continue to grow through strong systems and teamwork. We offer a collaborative and down-to-earth work environment where employees take ownership of their roles and contribute to real operational impact.

Requirements

  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills
  • Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple accounts
  • Self-motivated and goal-oriented
  • Basic computer skills (email, Google Docs, Microsoft Word)
  • Ability to work both in the field and in-office
  • Dependable and able to follow through on commitments

Nice To Haves

  • Sales experience (outside or inside sales)
  • Experience in construction, landscaping, building materials, or related industries (strongly preferred)
  • Familiarity with heavy equipment, tools, or job site environments
  • Spanish is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain relationships with new and existing customers
  • Conduct regular in-person visits to job sites, contractors, and businesses
  • Develop and manage a sales pipeline through calls and follow-ups
  • Present products, provide recommendations, and close sales
  • Process orders and coordinate with internal teams
  • Identify upsell opportunities and maximize customer value
  • Track activity and maintain customer contact based on KPIs
  • Meet or exceed monthly sales and visit targets
