Provides customer care and project management on existing accounts, prospecting for new accounts, follow-up and closing orders. This is a technical position requiring an ability to learn, understand and competently communicate compressor features and benefits. The role involves identifying, researching, and securing new business opportunities by utilizing prospecting skills and community/business networking to quote projects, increase revenue, and improve margins. The sales cycle includes initial contact, client needs analysis, development of proposals and presentations, and obtaining purchase orders. A sales strategy will be developed in concert with business plans, utilizing a strategic planning process that encompasses company, market, and industry trends to ensure coordination of efforts to achieve goals. The position requires developing and maintaining relationships with engineer firms, distributors, mechanical contractors, and end users. The role includes making 4-6 sales calls a day and 3 cold calls a week, following production of equipment sold to keep customers informed, and interfacing daily with customers and co-workers to build customer relationships. Selling parts and service to support equipment sales and service is also a key responsibility.
