About The Position

This position involves the direct management, training and coordination of the activities of unit installers and repair technicians as well as controlling inventory. Must have the required knowledge to properly monitor, maintain, test and troubleshoot our companies HFC broadband structure and branch network design. The Outside Plant Manager is responsible for maintaining courteous professional relationships between all BRC employees and plays a significant role in resolving system issues by working with head end staff. Will be required to inform upper management of any existing or potential issues when they arise. Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • H.S. Diploma or G.E.D.
  • 3 years’ work experience in related field
  • Established residency in Pennsylvania
  • Valid PA Driver’s License and good driving record
  • Knowledge of HFC Broadband architecture
  • Experience with coax tree and branch network design, construction, and troubleshooting
  • Experience with installation and troubleshooting modem, phone and video
  • Knowledge of fiber design, splicing, and troubleshooting
  • FCC Proof of Performance, CLI, and system maintenance
  • Understanding of power supply maintenance
  • Understanding of test equipment and troubleshooting programs
  • Experience with surveys and locates
  • Knowledge of OSHA, NEC, and NECS codes as it relates to the cable industry

Responsibilities
