About The Position
Provide bag, golf car and range services to members and guests. This role requires knowledge of the game of golf and its rules, as well as the ability to perform required role in emergency situations. The position involves bringing golf cars from the shelter to the staging area, loading bags, transporting and filling range ball containers, operating a ball picker, washing range balls, returning bags to storage, and maintaining golf cars. It also includes advising the Pro Shop of lost and found clubs, cleaning clubs and rental equipment, and maintaining the cleanliness of the Bag Storage Room. Other tasks may be assigned by the Outside Operations Manager.
Requirements
- High School diploma or GED required.
- Knowledgeable about the game of golf and its rules.
- Knowledge of and ability to perform required role in emergency situations.
- Valid driver’s license.
Responsibilities
- Provide bag, golf car and range services to members and guests.
- Bring golf cars from car shelter to car staging area outside Golf Pro Shop.
- Check golf cars for tire pressure, brake operation and other safety considerations.
- Load bags from bag storage room onto golf cars.
- Transport range balls to each end of range and fill appropriate containers.
- Place baskets of balls at evenly spaced intervals on range.
- Operate ball picker on range to retrieve balls.
- Wash all range balls daily.
- Remove bags from golf cars and return bags to assigned rack in bag storage room.
- Return golf cars to car shelter; remove items from golf cars and save reusable items.
- Check cars for damage; wash golf car with pressure cleaner; park car in shelter and connect charger cable.
- Advise Pro Shop of clubs found on the course and destined for the lost and found.
- Clean all clubs for members and guests.
- Clean and maintain the club’s rental equipment.
- Maintain cleanliness of and order in Bag Storage Room.
- Perform other appropriate tasks as assigned by the Outside Operations Manager.
